Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Vision Source Prescott a proud provider of vision care products and services in Prescott.


Dr. Jeff Bieter – Optometrist

Dr. Jeff grew up in Cottage Grove. After completing his training at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 1994, he returned “home.” After practicing nearly 12 years at the Allina Medical Clinic, he decided to embark on a new journey and open his own practice in 2006.

Dr. Jeff is certified in diagnostic pharmaceutical agents, therapeutic pharmaceutical agents, and CPR. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Minnesota Optometric Association. His professional interests include ocular disease and injury, glaucoma, retina, and keratoconus.

His hobbies include woodworking, horses, cooking and spending time with his wife and 2 kids. Dr. Jeff is also enjoying having his own hobby farm where he raises grass-fed beef and has egg-laying hens.


Dr. Kristel Rogers – Optometrist

Dr. Kristel Rogers is a native of Minnesota, growing up in Pipestone. She is a graduate of Concordia College, Moorhead where she studied Biology and Psychology. She has been in the Cottage Grove area since 2006 after graduating Magna Cum Laude from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. She brings with her experience from practicing in an ophthalmology clinic, Associated Eye Care, as well as prior private practice experience in New Richmond, WI.

Dr. Rogers is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society, the MN Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. She has been a Diplomat of the American Board of Optometry since 2012. She enjoys primary care optometry with an emphasis in ocular disease, contact lenses, surgical co-management and dry eye.

Dr. Rogers spends most of her free time with her husband and two children. She also enjoys running, music, and participating in various church-related functions.


Tracy – Office Manager

Tracy joins our team bringing several years of optical experience with her. She is a licensed optician certified by the American Board of Opticianry. She is our office manager which means she has a very wide variety of tasks going all at the same time! She has that knack to get your glasses adjusted “just so” and is always eager and pleased to help you pick out the perfect pair of glasses that look great. If any questions arise about lenses, frames or style please call or stop in and ask for Tracy. She will be happy to help. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her husband and 4 children!


MarkMark – Optician

Mark fits right in at Bieter Eye Center because of his customer service background! He is our awesome “lab guy”. Mark is an expert at making sure your glasses turn out just right. He is detail-oriented and will listen carefully to your eye wear needs. Mark is often found helping out in the optical in between making the glasses, as well as dispensing and adjusting glasses for patients. Mark stays busy in his spare time. His interests include music, motorcycles and travelling. His children and grand-children also keep he and his wife very active!


ShellyShelly – Optometric Technician

Shelly has been on our team for 8 years now! She transitioned from being our front desk coordinator to one of our optometric technicians several years ago. She enjoys seeing our repeat customers in the office and preparing them to see our doctors! She also loves helping patients find the perfect frame! She can often be found volunteering at church, gardening, camping, and fishing. Shelly has 2 grown sons that she loves to spend time with.


SamSam – Optometric Technician

Sam has over ten years of experience as an optometric technician. She aids our patients with comprehensive pretesting as well as specialty testing for ocular disease evaluations. She does a great job at keeping our contact lens department in order which we all appreciate very much! When Sam is not working, she loves anything outdoors! She loves to hunt, fish, and spend time with her husband and family.


Kayla Kosher – Optician

Kayla is new to the optical field as an Optician! She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a Bachelors in Exercise Sport Science and a Masters in Therapeutic Recreation. After spending some time in the therapeutic recreation field, she decided to switch up careers and join optical. She loves helping people find the perfect frame that accentuates their personal features. Kayla enjoys spending time with her husband and busy 9 month old son. She really enjoys playing games with family and friends, crocheting, crafting, and of course cheering on the Minnesota Vikings and Wisconsin Badgers!
